For many people, open government has become synonymous with open data. From national initiatives like data.gov and data.gov.uk, to dozens of initiatives at the state and local level, governments worldwide are recognizing the many benefits to opening much of their data to the public. Now it is up to us (the developer community) to show their efforts are bearing fruit through rapid usage and application.

In light of this, we are attempting to build a comprehensive repository of government data on Factual. It's not quite where we want it to be, but our engineering and data teams are working very hard and making strides everyday.
