Last night, we hosted our first Developer Night here at the Factual headquarters in Los Angeles. The evening consisted of pizza (and lots of it), followed by presentations from Bill Michels (VP Developer Platform) and Factual engineers Boris Shimanovsky and Jeff Su. They went into the specifics of Factual’s API, as well as our open source project JS2, then fielded questions from the audience.
At the end of the evening, everyone went home with their very own Factual T-shirt…and hopefully with a better idea of how the Factual API works. It was great meeting developers as passionate about open data as we are, and we look forward to the cool implementations of Factual data they come up with.
For those of you who couldn’t join us in person, here’s a link to the slide show deck that Bill, Boris and Jeff used during their presentations.
This was just the first of what we hope will be many more events like this. What types of events would you like to see in future? What issues would you like to see addressed? Let us know. We’d love to hear from you.
Till next time…
