Looking for something to do this weekend? Factual is participating in HAPI Hack Weekend, a hackathon focused on building innovative applications using APIs. The 3-day event will take place at TokBox’s HQs in San Francisco from Friday, June 10th to Sunday, June 12th. The event brings together designers and developers for a chance to win prizes, meet reps from leading tech companies, and, of course, build some really cool apps.
On Friday, attendees will hear presentations from participating companies about their APIs and how to use them. They will then have the chance to form teams, and spend the rest of the weekend building apps using the API(s) of their choice. Each of the participating companies will award a prize for the best app that uses their API. Winners will be announced at the end of the hackathon on Sunday.
For our part, Factual is offering $500 for the best app that uses our API.
The other participating companies include TokBox, Foursquare, Twilio, Mashery, Box, Developer Genability, and Paypal.
